Description
“Food Science Goes Viral” is a global TikTok competition that invites creators to share engaging, easy-to-understand food science content. Whether it’s innovation, culture, or sustainability, this is your chance to bring food science to life and reach a worldwide audience. The participant (or team) with the highest follower growth by the end of the competition will be invited to attend the IUFoST World Food Congress.

Objective
To drive global awareness and engagement for the IUFoST World Food Congress by using TikTok as a platform for creative, educational, and behind-the-scenes food science content.

Who Can Participate
This competition is open to participants worldwide, including:

• Students
• Professionals and researchers
• Food enthusiasts

You can join as an individual or as a team.
All participants must have an active TikTok account.

How to Enter

1. Create original TikTok videos related to the Congress. Possible topics include:
   • Food innovation and technology
   • Sustainability in food systems
   • Nutrition and health
   • Cultural food science stories
   • Congress updates, countdowns, or insights
2. Submit your entry by completing the application form below.

How to post:

• Upload content on your own TikTok account or
• Collaborate with the official IUFoST TikTok channel

Make sure to include:

Judging Criteria
Participants will be ranked based on:

1. Follower Growth (Primary Metric)
   The participant(s) with the highest number of followers by the end of the competition.
2. Engagement Quality (Secondary Metrics)
   Includes likes, shares, comments, and overall video reach.
3. Content Creativity and Accuracy
   Content should be clear, engaging, and scientifically accurate.
